The recipe for Creamy Crispy Air Fryer Potato Wedges is here!!! These Potato Wedges are seasoned with herbs and white sauce and are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
These easy potato wedges are a healthier alternative to those bought at the store or deep-fried. They are vegan. It is still possible to make them if you do not have an air fryer. The oven and crisp lid recipes are included. Let’s begin!!
Air frying produces airy, fluffy, and tender potato wedges. Cooking wedges with the Air Fryer will result in fewer calories and a crispier result than deep-frying them.
A few tablespoons of olive oil, some garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper, and some salt and pepper are perfect seasonings for these wedges. The Wedges are also delicious when tossed with white sauce and parsley after air frying them!
What makes these Potato Wedges so delicious when fried in an air fryer?
- Easy to make, quick, convenient, and inexpensive, these wedges can be made in a matter of minutes. We love them for game nights.
- On the outside, they are perfectly crispy, and on the inside, they are soft. Herbs add much flavor to these potato wedges, which are full of flavor. I love them!
- You can prepare small portions for up to three people using an air fryer. It preheats and cooks food faster and doesn’t require heating the whole oven. The perfect side dish to serve with a meal or snack after school.
- Making your own Air Fryer Potato Wedges at home from scratch is much healthier. It is a great way to eat in a healthy way without deep frying since you know what you are eating. 80% less fat is used in air frying than in deep frying.

Potatoes – The Russet potato, which is high in starch and has the perfect oval shape for cutting into wedges, is ideal for making wedges.
The wedges will take a little longer to cook if you use Yukon gold, red, or white potatoes. Nevertheless, they will taste great!
Extra virgin olive oil – Potatoes cooked with extra virgin olive oil have a crispy crust and are cooked nicely. Alternatively, butter might be a better choice for a richer flavor.
Seasoning – Salt, pepper, rosemary, (optional), and oregano flavor these air-fried potato wedges. In addition to red pepper flakes, they can also be seasoned with them if you want them spicy.
All-purpose Flour – Used to make the white sauce.
Vegan cream or plain cream – I have used it to help to make the sauce more creamy.
Parsley – Used to provide flavor as well as for garnishing
The wedges can also be seasoned with garlic powder and onion powder. Depending on your taste, adjust the seasonings.

Important Suggestion To Keep In Mind
- Selecting the right potatoes – What potatoes should I use for Potato Wedges? It is important to use the right potatoes if you want to get the right texture. The best choice is either an organic variety of Russet potatoes or an organic variety of White Potatoes. Regardless of what you have at home, these are always going to produce good results.
- You will not get even cooking if the slices aren’t even. It will result in uneven results if some cook faster than others. Try for similar thicknesses.
- To ensure the outside of the wedges is crisp, soak the wedges in ice-cold water – This helps release some starch and absorb moisture. However, you won’t get super crispy wedges if you skip this step.
- Keep the wedges evenly covered in oil – The oil needs to be applied on all sides. Apply the oil liberally. Whatever oil excess is left in the fryer basket will be thrown out. Compared to deep-frying, we use 80% less oil.
- If you like to season your potatoes with herbs and spices, you can definitely enhance the flavor. In this blog, I’ve shared my favorite Potato Wedges seasoning.
- The wedges should be arranged evenly – Do not overcrowd the air fryer with multiple layers. It is best to arrange the wedges evenly in a single layer so that each wedge is exposed to the heat equally.
Serving suggestion
This delicious potato wedges recipe can be served with creamy dips such as Yogurt Dip with Mint and Garlic, Bang Bang Sauce which I will publish in a few days, or just tomato ketchup.
You can also serve potatoes wedges with burgers, sandwiches, wraps, etc.
