- 1 big broccoli, washed and cut in florets
- 100 g Parmesan extra hard cheese
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. ginger powder
- 1/2 tbsp. paprika powder
- 1/2 tbsp. onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil for air frying

- Set your air fryer’s temperature for three to five minutes at 400°F (200°C).To keep the air fryer basket from sticking, line it with parchment paper or give it a quick spray of cooking spray.
- Wash and thoroughly dry the broccoli with a clean, dry kitchen towel before preparing it. To ensure consistent cooking, cut the broccoli into large florets that are all about the same size.
- Add one teaspoon of salt to a big saucepan of boiling water.
- When the water is boiling, add the broccoli florets and blanch for approximately two minutes.
- To stop the cooking process, quickly remove the broccoli from the boiling water and place it in a bowl of ice water, or give it a quick rinse under cold water.
- After thoroughly draining, pat dry the broccoli with paper towels or a kitchen towel. Arrange the blanched and dehydrated broccoli florets on a level surface, such as an air fryer tray or chopping board.
- Each broccoli floret should be lightly crushed, but not mashed, using the bottom of a small glass or a potato masher.
- Transfer the mashed broccoli to a parchment-paper-lined plate or tray.
- In a bowl, mix garlic powder, ginger powder, paprika powder, onion powder, and salt to taste.
- Now brush some olive oil over the broccoli with this mixture of olive oil.
- Dredge the broccoli in a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese, making sure every piece is covered.
- Avoid crowding the air fryer basket as you gently add the seasoned and cheese-topped broccoli florets in a single layer.
