Ingredients

Scale
  • 6: Large mushrooms (such as portobello or cremini), cleaned and stems removed
  • 1/2 cup: Olive oil or cooking spray
  • 2: Garlic, minced
  • 1: Onion, finely chopped, is optional
  • 1: Bell pepper, finely chopped, is optional
  • 1/2 cup: Spinach, chopped, is optional
  • 1/2 cup: Bread crumbs (preferably Panko)
  • 1/2 cup: Grated Parmesan cheese (or a vegan alternative for a fully vegan option)
  • 1/2 cup: Fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, or basil), chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1: egg optional if vegan
  • 1/2 cup: Shredded cheese (like mozzarella or vegan cheese)

Instructions

  1. In sizable bowl of bread crumbs, mix all the cheeses, eggs (optional if vegan), red peppers, parsley, herbs, and salt pepper.
  2. To make a place for the stuffing, carefully clean the mushrooms and cut off the stems. You can carefully remove the stems with spoon. For five minutes, preheat the air fryer to 180 degrees or 355 degrees F.
  3. Place all the mushrooms in the air fryer basket after removing the stem.
  4. Prepare all the cheeseball mixture and fill in the mushrooms.
  5. Put them in the basket of an air fryer. Brush or spray the mushrooms with oil, then air-fry them for four to five minutes. Air fry at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and have golden top.
  6. Delicious, crispy, and cheesy air fryer stuffed mushrooms are ready to be served.

Notes

  • You can use the following pointers and techniques to ensure that your homemade creamy cheese-stuffed mushrooms turn out perfectly: Rinse the mushrooms only; this will prevent them from becoming overly wet.
  • To cook them, use high heat. Additionally, it will prevent them from dripping wet.
  • Avoid omitting the breadcrumbs, as they aid in retaining the cheese stuffing and stop it from spreading.
  • There are so many ways to personalize this recipe, so don’t be afraid to experiment with the filling and flavors.
