Air Fryer Chicken Mayo Bread Balls

Description

These Air Fryer Chicken Mayo Bread Balls are one of my most delicious snack or appetizer recipes that can be easily made at home.


Ingredients

Units Scale

For Chicken stuffing:

  • 45 Boneless Chicken Boiled & shredded
  • 1 small – Capsicum yellow & green julienne
  • 1 tbsp – Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp – Red Chilly Flakes Plain
  • 2 tbsp – Mayonnaise
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1/2 cup – Bread crumbs for coating(Optional) or powdered Marie biscuit.
  • 8 – Bread slices
  • Water for soaking bread

For Aloo Masala Stuffing:

  • 45 medium-boiled potatoes
  • 1/2 cup – frozen green peas
  • 1 tbsp – ginger crushed
  • 1 tbsp– garlic crushed
  • 3-green chilies chopped
  • 3 tbsp – Cashew chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp – turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp – garam masala
  • 1 tbsp – Kashmiri red chilly powder

Instructions

For Aloo Masala : 

  1. Take boiled potatoes and mash them with the help of a masher. You can grate them too if you like.
  2. On medium heat put 4 tbsp oil in a pan.
  3. Now add crushed ginger, garlic, and chopped green chilies.
  4. Fry on a medium flame for a minute till the rawness goes away.
  5. Now add frozen green peas and fry for a min on medium flame.
  6. Now add turmeric powder & Kashmiri red chili powder and mix on low flame so that masala doesn’t get burnt. Fry for a min.
  7. Add chopped cashew and fry for a min.
  8. Now add mashed potatoes and fry on a medium flame for 5 mins. Mix everything very well.
  9. Add garam masala. Add salt to taste. Mix everything well and on low flame cook the stuffing. Stuffing is ready to take out and cool.

For Chicken Mayo Bread Balls :

  1. Take the boiled chicken and shred it with the help of a fork and knife. Add Aloo masala (Given Recipe above please refer to)
  2. Add yellow and/or green capsicum ( whichever is available in your fridge ) and cut them in julienne.
  3. Sprinkle black pepper powder and red chilly powder.
  4. Add mayonnaise and salt of your choice as required. Mix everything well.
  5. Chicken stuffing is ready.
  6. Now take a bread slice (Cut all edges) and soak in water for 2 sec take out and press gently. Squeeze out excess water.
  7. Add 1 tbsp chicken stuffing in the middle of the bread. Gently seal all edges slowly and give the shape of balls.
  8. Coat bread balls in breadcrumbs (optional) from all sides and keep them aside. Prepare all bread balls like this.
  9. Deep Fry Method: Heat oil for deep frying on medium flame. After 3 min when the oil is medium hot put the bread balls one by one carefully. Fry till golden brown.
  10. Flip in between. Once they are golden brown from all sides take out in tissue paper and drain excess oil.
  11. Air Fryer Method: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  12. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of oil. Place the coated chicken mayo bread balls in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other. You might need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
  13. Air fry the bread balls at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside. You can give them a gentle shake or turn them over halfway through cooking to ensure even browning. Once the chicken mayo bread balls are cooked and crispy, carefully remove them from the air fryer and place them on a serving platter. Serve the air fryer chicken mayo bread balls as a delicious appetizer or snack. They can be enjoyed on their own or with your favorite dip or Ketchup.

  14. They are super crispy and ready to be served hot with Ketchup.

Notes

  • Prepare aloo (potato) masala ahead of preparing chicken mayo bread balls.
  • Fry on medium heat.
  • I will recommend shredding chicken pieces instead of dicing or mincemeat.
  • Do not soak bread pieces for more than 2-3 seconds.
  • You can Air fryer them at 200 degrees C or 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Do check-in between to avoid burning. Just brush or spray little oil.
  • You can also do it in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Flip in between.
