When to flip the oats banana pancake?

Just notice the two indicators given below :

  • Once they begin to form cute little bubbles on the top surface it’s time to flip.
  • Check it by sliding a spatula under the sides of the oats pancake and if it gets separated from the pan easily and the edges become golden brown then it’s able to get flipped. Follow these two above indications, then your oats banana pancake will be absolutely fine

What utensils to use?

A pan or skillet is also a spatula. A whisker to whisk the batter.

What can I top my oats banana pancake with?

We can top these Oats Banana Pancakes with frozen berries like blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry.

We can also top it with dry fruits like cashews and almonds.

You can also top it with my all-time fav – Nutella and grated bittersweet chocolate.

And if you would like something fancy you can top them with yogurt which works well as a creamy pancake topper that’s so delicious and nutritious too.

What is the substitute for milk in oats banana pancakes?

If you don’t want milk or you are allergic to dairy products you can skip the milk and add water.

Important Suggestions To Keep In Mind

  • You need to mark a crucial point here that as we’ve taken oats after mixing them with milk or water they’ll become thick. So you need to add a little milk or water if it gets thick.
  • Make it vegan or vegetarian according to your preferences.
  • If you discover that the batter is too thick, just add 1 tbsp milk or water gradually and blend. Repeat until you reach the specified consistency.
  • Your pan should be mildly hot before you pour your batter to form the first one.
  • Don’t cook over high heat otherwise, it’ll burn and inside it’ll be gooey.
  • Pour an equal amount of batter for all pancakes.
  • Flip the pancakes once you see a bubble on the top surface and wait another minute. Then you should be able to flip them nicely.

Basic Serving Tips

Serve these Oats Banana Pancakes with dry fruits as well as fruits of your choice. Best toppings include blueberry, raspberry, or banana.

Drizzle some good amount of honey on top ( if you like ) and serve hot.

How to make Oats Banana Pancake step by step with photo:

1. In a blender add oats, banana, baking powder, cinnamon powder, 2 eggs or 1/4 cup apple sauce if vegan, vanilla essence, yogurt, and milk.

2. Now close the lid and blend. Open the lid after 30 seconds of blending. If the batter is tight, add more milk and blend again.

3. Take the batter out of a bowl.

4. Add 1 tbsp butter or refined oil and spread on pan on medium heat. Spread the batter using 1 big spatula in a round pancake shape.

5. Fry each side for 3 mins till they are golden brown and then take it out.

Note: Look out for this bubble formation on top of oats banana pancake. This means that it’s getting cooked from inside as well and it’s ready.

6. When both sides turn golden brown along with the edges, that means the oats banana pancake is ready to be served. I served with orange, and green apple slices and poured a good amount of honey or maple syrup on the top and sides.
