Description

Corn Soyabean Tawa Pulao is a very spicy and healthy dish which can be prepared really easily within minutes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup – Soyabean chunks
  • 2 cups– Warm water
  • 6 to 7– Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp– Black salt
  • 1 tbsp– Cumin Powder
  • 1 tbsp– Coriander Powder
  • 2 tbsp– Water
  • 2 tbsp– Oil
  • 2 tbsp– Butter
  • 1 – Bay leaf
  • 2 – Cardamom
  • 3 – Clove
  • 5– Black pepper
  • 2 – Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tbsp – Whole Jeera
  • 1 big – Onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp– Ginger paste
  • 4 – Green chilly stilted
  • 1 medium – Capsicum chopped
  • 1 medium – Cabbage chopped
  • 1 big – Tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cup – Green Peas
  • 1 tbsp – Garam masala powder
  • 2 tbsp – Pav bhaji masala
  • 2 cups– Rice boiled with turmeric powder
  • Lemon juice half
  • Coriander leaves chopped for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Soak 1 cup Soyabean chunks in hot water.
  2. Squeeze excess water after 5 minutes
  3. Take out in a plate.
  4. Take Kashmiri dry red chilly and take out the seeds. Cut them and keep in a bowl with warm water for 10 min.
  5. Take a blender jar. Put soaked kashmiri red chilly, garlic cloves, black salt, Cumin powder, coriander powder.
  6. Add water and blend in blender. Keep the paste aside.
  7. Heat oil and butter in pan on medium flame.
  8. Add Bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, whole jeera, cinnamon stick, black pepper. Saute for 1 min.
  9. Add chopped onions and fry till translucent. Add the ginger paste and the red paste we made. Saute for 2 minutes.
  10. Add slitted green chilly. Mix. Then add chopped onion, chopped capsicum, chopped cabbage, chopped tomato, green peas, corn. Cook everything for 5 min on medium flame.
  11. Add garam masala powder, pav bhaji masala. Add salt to taste. Cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  12. Add soya bean chunks and mix. Add Rice ( Rice boiled with turmeric powder). Mix everything well.
  13. Squeeze half lemon juice and mix well. Mix everything. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mix.
  14. Serve hot with kadi pakoda or raita. Enjoy ЁЯШК

Notes

  • Use long grain rice for this recipe which should be soaked in water for 30 minutes. Boil the rice with water and salt.
  • Pav bhaji masala is a must for this recipe to have that authentic flavor of tawa pulao.
  • If you don’t have a tawa don’t panic. Use any kadai which is available.
  • Keep all the vegetables chopped and ready so that you can follow each step easily. 
  • If you are preparing it for kids please keep an eye on the red chilly you are using.
